Summer Roundup!
It has been FOREVER since I sat down and wrote one of these, and for all two of you who care, I apologize. A lot’s been happening life- and career-wise. For instance, I placed my first poem in I don’t even know how many years. It’s called “Mxyzptlk” and you can read/hear it here.
This Spring also saw the publication of my very first audio fiction piece on podcastle. The story is called “Mister Dog.” It’s one that I originally read at Dogfish during one of our Christmas celebrations where all of us founding producers read our own work. It also happens to be my first-ever paranormal romance. That one can be found here. I LOVE the Escape Artists podcasts and have listened to them religiously for umpteen years. To finally get a story on one of them after years of trying is exquisitely sweet!
I also edited the Souvenir Book for WisCon, and attended the convention in May. I had a truly wonderful time. The one and only Alex Smith provided our cover image. I can’t tell you how pleased and proud I am to have made friends with this cat. You can read his fiction in Stories for Chip. And check out his work at his website.
Beyond that, I have a new… person in my life, and after a curiously long break, I’ve resumed my MC duties at dogfish. This month, the show featured Bryan Camp and the great Sheree Renee Thomas, and let me tell you, it was a high old time. There have also been a few BTS rumblings I’m not prepared to announce just yet, but thank you for reading!
